Eddie Glore was honored for his 40 years of service at Crowder Industries, Inc. He is the last of the original nine employees who reported for work when the company opened in 1969. He is thinking about retirement so he can spend more time fishing at Grand Lake.

Crowder Industries, Inc. celebrated a milestone on Friday in honor of the company’s 40th anniversary.

Founded in 1969 as the Crowder Sheltered Workshop, the company has grown from nine employees to more than 130.

The celebration included a company picnic, games and prizes, anniversary cake and a tribute to employee Eddie Glore. Glore started with the company on the first day of work in 1969.

Klaus Tamme, general manager, noted that many of the prizes at the event were donated by Neosho merchants and industries. He also expressed his gratitude for all the support and business which has been supplied over the years by industries in the Crowder area which has allowed the company to operate and provide employment for many people over the past 40 years.
