Work is continuing on the addition at Goodman Elementary School in the Neosho R-5 School District.
The addition measures 4,500-square feet and will house four classrooms, with one speech or reading room. Branco Enterprises of Neosho is the general contractor.
“We have got the walls painted, the ceiling roof is on,” said Dr. Richard Page, superintendent of Neosho R-5 School District. “Right now, they are working on the ceiling grid for the drop ceiling. They are also putting in the heating and air vents – the ductwork. By the end of this week, a lot of that will be done…they will probably start putting in flooring next week.”
Page said the work is coming along “pretty quick.”
“I look for it being done by the end of the first week or the middle of the second week of July,”
the superintendent said.
