Monday, July 5

7 p.m. Queen/princess pageant at Elsie Plaster Center, Crowder College

 

Tuesday, July 6

8 a.m. to noon indoor exhibits must be in place. Livestock may start arriving after noon. No livestock, equipment or bedding before noon.

2 p.m. Judge indoor exhibits

 

Wednesday, July 7

Noon to 1 p.m. weigh-in steers

1-3 p.m. Weigh-in sheep, swine, goats and poultry

2 p.m. All FFA outdoor exhibits in place

3 p.m. Poultry state blood tests must be completed

3 p.m. All livestock in place (all trucks and trailers removed)

4 p.m. Commercial building open

4 p.m. Open dedication ceremonies

4 p.m. Broiler pen show (will be released to leave immediately after show)

4:30 p.m. Market show (4:30 p.m. goats, 5:30 p.m. lambs, 7 p.m. steers and 8:30 p.m. swine)

5:30 p.m. sign ups start for the Newton County Idol Challenge contest

8 p.m. entertainment – Newton County Fair Idol Challenge live performance sponsored by Downstream Casino

Midnight All market poultry must be removed from cages

Midnight Fair closes

 

Thursday, July 8

8 a.m. Horse youth (showmanship and pleasure)

8 a.m. Rabbit (rabbit barn)

10 a.m. Poultry

Noon 4-H exhibits building open

1 p.m. Dairy cattle

3 p.m. Bicycle rodeo

4 p.m. Dairy goats

4 p.m. 4-H exhibits building open

7 p.m. Western horsemanship

8 p.m. entertainment – Folk and Roll and Shades of Blue sponsored by Sam’s Cellar

8 p.m. Breeding swine show

8 a.m. Horse trail

11 a.m. Boer goats

2 p.m. Beef

5:30 p.m. Show-de-o

7 p.m. Goat costume contest

7:30 p.m. Lead line sheep

8 p.m. entertainment – the Brandon Clark Band and Jake Clark sponsored by Harris Farms and Martin Livestock Farms

8:30 p.m. Greased pigs

Saturday, July 10

8:30 p.m. Open house show

9 a.m. Livestock judging

9 a.m. Horseshoe pitching

10:30 a.m. Round robin

12:30 p.m. Dog obedience

1:30 p.m. Best of show winner showcase

2:30 p.m. Award recognition (pee wee showmanship following award recognition)

3 p.m. MFA-FFA livestock bingo

3:30 p.m. Market sale participant meeting

5 p.m. watermelon feed

5:30 p.m. bidders register for auction

7 p.m. Livestock auction

8 p.m. entertainment –  the Mark Chapman Band and Georgia Overdrive sponsored by National Integrated Pest Management and Lucky Maggie

9 p.m. Indoor exhibit released

Midnight Release of livestock at conclusion of market sales (must receive release from superintendent).
