A sizable crowd was seen Saturday during the fourth annual McDonald County Expo, held at the McDonald County High School gymnasium.
Businesses from not only McDonald County, but across the area, had the opportunity to show off what they offer and even had some items for sale.
Around 78 businesses were on hand. One of them was Anderson Floral & Gift.
“This is my second time to the expo,” said Crystal Sherman, owner. “This year, I decided to do my dips, breads and stuff like that.”
Her business offers flowers, gifts, and tuxedo rentals, to name a few. Sherman noted the expo was a great way for the businesses to showcase their items.
“It is good because to you can show off all what they have, because a lot of people might not know that I have dips and breads or tuxedo rentals. They know I am a flower shop, but not the other things that I carry.”
According to an earlier interview with Kim Ramsay, with the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce — the group that put on the event — stated the proceeds raised would “support the area chamber of commerce, what we are doing.”
“I have only done this expo so far,” said Sherman.
The public also had the chance at some door prizes, some food samples and freebees.
