Two teen-agers sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash that took place at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday on Rangeline Road, a quarter mile south of Joplin.

Tristian N. Mersman, 16, of Joplin, and Mariah L. Peterson, 18, of Seneca were taken by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened as a northbound 1996 Pontiac Gran Prix driven by Peterson was stopped to make a left turn and was rear ended by a 1993 Honda Accord driven by Joseph O. Horton, 23, of Diamond.

Both drivers and Mersman, a passenger in the Peterson car, were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
