Teen hurt in 1-car crash near Noel

An Arkansas teen-ager sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash that took place at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday on Missouri Highway 90, three and a half miles east of Noel.

Breeanna G. Damron, 16, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., was taken by ambulance to Joplin’s Freeman West Hospital for treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened as a westbound 2000 Chevrolet driven by Damron ran off of the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned.

Damron was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, a patrol report noted.
