According to State Rep. Kevin Wilson, in an interview at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, two visits from legislators with Southwest Missouri ties are planned for Monday.
U.S. Congressman Roy Blunt will be in Newtonia at 1 p.m. Monday to survey the damage to the small community of 200 residents, and view the damage at the historic Ritchey Mansion, a Civil War landmark.
The congressman will then travel through the county to survey the damage and end his route at Highway 43 and Highway BB, north of Seneca at the command post.
It is there that Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. He will fly over the damaged area in a National Guard helicopter.
