A youth dove hunt will be held on Saturday, at the Ft. Crowder Conservation Area (CA) on Route D east of Neosho.
The hunt is limited to 17 kids ages 8-15 with adult sponsors.
Youths must have an adult sponsor. The youths must be hunter education certified or sponsored by an adult that is hunter education certified and properly licensed to hunt doves (Missouri small game license and migratory bird hunting stamp). Only the youth will be allowed to shoot.
Youths and sponsors will meet at the pole barn at the Ft. Crowder CA on Route D east of Neosho at 6 a.m. on Saturday and be ferried to the dove field. Lunch will be provided on-site and youths will also have the opportunity to shoot clay pigeons after they hunt. Shotgun shells will be provided for clay pigeon shooting. All activities will wrap up at noon.
