The Neosho R-5 School Board will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. tonight at the high school’s library.

The public is invited to attend the meeting.

During the first part of the meeting, Chris Parks and Mike Stauffer will be sworn in to represent the school district.

This is Parks’ second term and Stauffer’s first term.

The school board will also elect a new president, as well as appoint the positions of vice president, secretary and treasurer of the school board.

After the new officers are elected, the school board members will go to the rest of the meeting.

Under the current action items, the board will:

• Re-alignment of job duties;

• Approval of summer maintenance items;

• Approval of asphalt bids;

• Approval of roof renovation bids;

• Board policy updates.

The board will also go into executive session pursuant to section 610.02(3): hiring, firing, discipling or promoting of particular employees by a public governmental body when personal information about the employee is discussed or recorded.
