The No. 5 ranked Iowa Western Reivers picked up their second win of the Junior College World Series to stay alive and end the season for the Crowder Roughriders Wednesday, winning 13-3 at Suplizio Field.

Iowa Western beat Crowder 12-0 in action Sunday, but Crowder won yesterday to stay alive and get a rematch.

The rematch, though, went much like the first meeting. Down 8-0 Sunday after two innings, Crowder faced a 7-0 deficit Wednesday after two innings of play and never could recover.

Crowder scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings to account for the offense. Kyle Hardy and Sam Bates had RBI doubles, while Koby Peebles had a solo home run.

The loss went to Tyler Sawyer, who tossed 1 2/3 innings for Crowder, giving up eight hits and seven runs. Mike Sisco and Austin Brown both pitched in relief. The game ended in the sixth inning when Josh Rawlings hit a two-run single for the Reivers (48-13) to end the game on the run-rule of 10 run lead after five innings of play.

Crowder finished the 2010 season with a 43-24 record.
