Alma J. Raines, 67, Neosho, entered into rest on July 7, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, following a lengthy illness.

Alma J. Raines, 67, Neosho, entered into rest on July 7, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, following a lengthy illness.  
Alma was born Dec. 3, 1949, in Stella, and was a lifelong area resident.  She had worked as a nurse’s aide at Sale Memorial Hospital, at Sunbeam, as a hairdresser; a truck driver and was a homemaker. She enjoyed the farm animals and being with people. She loved her family, living life and always had a smile. She was a member of the Church of Hope.  
Alma and John Raines, Sr., were married on March 27, 1966 in Neosho and John survives of the home.  
Additional survivors are her three children, Laura Raines, Tamara Workman and John Raines, Jr., all of Neosho; three brothers, Curtis Severs and wife, Barbara, Aurora; Don Severs and wife, Rita, Louisiana and Raymond Severs, Neosho; one sister, Ava Banks of the state of Texas; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  
Services for Alma will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Drake, Jordan Mendoza, Mike Barker, Todd Allen, Jake Payton and Matt Denefrio.  The family will receive friends at a time of visitation from 6-7 p.m. today at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
