William F. ‘Bill’ Miller, Jr., 83 of Granby, entered into rest on Aug. 2, 2017, in Granby, following an extended illness.

William F. ‘Bill’ Miller, Jr.,  83 of Granby, entered into rest on Aug. 2, 2017, in Granby, following an extended illness.  
Bill was born March 25, 1934 in Granby, the son of William F. Miller, Sr. and Beulah Cleo Baker Miller.  He was a lifelong area resident and had worked for the City of Granby for many years. He served in the U.S. Army and National Guard, 1954-1960 and served overseas in Germany. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, driving and spending time with his family.  
Bill is survived by his 2nd cousins, Eugene Spears of Granby, Roberta Collins of Columbia, Dennis Spears of Hallsville, Marilyn Skipper of Columbia and Patricia Parris, Baton Rouge, La.; 3rd cousins, Ron Spears, John Spears, Elizabeth Spears, Mike Spears, Peggy Sapp, Holly Dencker, Stephanie Moehler and Christopher Burnett and numerous other family.  
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby, Pastor Ashley Edgemon will officiate. Interment will follow in Granby Memorial Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Eugene Spears, Ron Spears, John Spears, Mike Spears, J.C. Turner and Jim Channel.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation today at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.
