Douglas Alan Cummings,  63, Neosho, entered into rest on Aug. 4, 2017, in Joplin, following a sudden illness.  
Douglas was born Feb. 5, 1954 in Springfield, Mass., the son of Harley and Priscilla (Clark) Cummings. He was a self employed truck driver, currently working with CEI.  
Douglas and Sally (Smith) were married on Oct. 8, 2005 in Miami, Okla., and she survives.  
Additional survivors include their children, Jennifer Blood and husband, Ethan, Sabine Pass, Texas, Michelle Cummings, Port Arthur, Texas, Jason Cummings and wife, Courtney, Vidor, Texas, Jamie Cummings, Sabine Pass, Texas, Melissa Cummings, Sulfur, La., and Robert Girvin, San Francisco, Calif.; one sister, Judy Hubbard, West Springfield, Mass., and Sandy Woods, West Springfield, Mass.; 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Chancelor; brother, Richard Cummings and sister, Carol Chase.  
Memorial services for Douglas will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Neosho, Dr. Jerry Seigel and Scott Wade officiating.
