Joe V. Lewis, 93, Webb City, entered into rest on Nov. 9, 2017 in Granby House Nursing Home, following an extended illness.  
Joe was born April 1, 1924 in Boulder City, the son of George L. and Ora (Hobson) Lewis.  He served his country in the U.S. Army, 1944-1946.  Joe was a lifelong area resident and had worked at W.R. Grace in Duenweg and then worked at Vickers as a machinist, where he retired.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors.  Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, on May 3, 1988.  
He is survived by three sons, Larry J. Lewis and wife, Shyrl, Neosho; John Lewis, Anderson and Dale Lewis, Granby; one brother, Johnny Lewis,  Stella; three sisters, Marlene Sanders, Granby; Darlene Laughlin, Stella and Georgia Lee Wisely of the state of Arkansas; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Lewis and a daughter, Pam Armstrong, three  brothers, and four sisters.  
A memorial visitation for Joe Lewis will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017  at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby.
