Jerry Edward Hill, 86, Neosho passed away on Dec. 14, 2017. He was born Dec. 2, 1931 in Royal Oak, Mich., to John Joseph and Leona Faye (Lawrence) Hill.
Jerry Edward Hill, 86, Neosho passed away on Dec. 14, 2017. He was born Dec. 2, 1931 in Royal Oak, Mich., to John Joseph and Leona Faye (Lawrence) Hill. Jerry was a longtime resident of Neosho; he had worked for La-Z-Boy Midwest, retiring in the early 80’s, and was co-owner of the Neosho Beauty College for many years. He was a US Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of The Sheep Shed. Jerry enjoyed golfing, grilling, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Jerry married Erma Dean (Thogmartin) Hill on March 17, 1957 in Neosho; she preceded him in death on Nov. 11, 2017.
Surviving family include children, Carrie Jo Ward, Webb City, and Scott Hill, Neosho; two grandchildren, Sean Hembrough and Shane Hembrough; and five great grandchildren, Alex Hembrough, Bryan Hembrough, Olivia Hembrough, Alexis Hembrough, and Devin Hembrough.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jerry was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Hill, Johnny Hill, and Richard Hill. Visitation will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with services immediately following.
Interment will follow at the New Salem Cemetery in Neosho. Contributions in Jerry’s honor may be made to The Sheep Shed building fund, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66, Neosho, MO 64850.
