John E. Taylor, 86, Diamond, entered into rest April 6, 2018.  
Born March 26, 1932 in Irwin, Ohio, to Earl and Helen (Martin) Taylor, John was a longtime area resident.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War. John was a cattle farmer and a member of Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, where he served as the Adult Sanctuary Sunday School teacher from 1977 until 2018.
John and Dorsa Jones were married Nov. 28, 1986 in Neosho; she survives of the home.  
Additional survivors include three children: Joan Layne and husband, Vance, Bentonville, Ark., Rene Taylor, Neosho, Ann M. Troxel and husband, John, Miami, Okla.; six step children: Debra Mason and husband, Todd, Wentworth, Rick Shilling, Prior, Okla., Steve Shilling and wife, Vicki ,  Granby, Patty Cloud and husband, Mark, Joplin, Christina Cooper and husband, John, Joplin, and David Main, Tulsa; two brothers: Bob Taylor and Albert Taylor; six sisters: Alice Vaughn, Sylvia Higgins, Mildred Bone, Bonnie Stroud, Patty Edwards, and Mary Lou Stout; 27 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, with Pastor Phil Barber officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Neosho. Visitation will be  from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time, at the Church.
