Gregory Bruce Kivett, Sr., 63, Neosho, entered into rest on June 27, 2018 at his home, following an extended illness.  
Greg was born Jan. 24, 1955 in Indianapolis, Ind., the son of James and Mary (Stahl) Kivett.  He moved to the southwest Missouri area in 1990 from California and had worked as a professional truck driver retiring from Republic Services.  He loved gardening and watching birds and especially being with his family.  He was known as ‘Poppy’ to his grandchildren.  
Greg and Linda (Grotjohn) were married on Jan. 27, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nev. and she survives.  
Additional survivors include five children, Greg Kivett and wife, Megan, Joplin; Jason Kivett; Vanessa Anderson; Erik Kivett and wife, Michelle and Jeffrey Kivett, all of Neosho; three brothers, Jim Kivett, Neosho; Jeff Kivett, state of California and Kevin Kivett, Neosho; four sisters, Karon Del Chario, Fullerton, Calif.; Laura Standley, state of California; Karlotta Kivett, Victorville, Calif., and Pam Hamilton, Neosho and 15 grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. today at the New Salem Cemetery, officiating will be Rev. Buddy Funk.
