Mrs. Amelia Elizabeth Lipscomb, 80, Willard, Mo., passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 31, 2010, in Willard Care Center.

Amelia was born June 4, 1929, in Springfield, Mo., to Marion and Sophia (Mazzochini) Zuchelli.
She married Robert Lipscomb on Aug. 5, 1950. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, volunteering for many church activities including working at Maggies Thrift Shop. Amelia was artistic and enjoyed sewing, crafts and gardening. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Amelia was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bob; and her son, Stephen.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Susan Lipscomb, Linda Stone and her husband, Rick, Robert Lipscomb, Jr., Jeff Lipscomb and his wife, Cheryl, and Dena Gaddis; her two grandchildren, Ryan and Cole Lipscomb.

Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Denis Dougherty, OSB celebrant. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St. Springfield, Mo.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church 1115 N. Campbell Springfield, 65802.
