Raymond Dale Hathaway, 61, Neosho, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Neosho, following a short illness.
Ray was born Jan. 27, 1949, in San Bernadino, Calif., and moved to the area in 1961 from Fontana, Calif. He served in the National Guard and worked as a driver for Tamko.
He married Mary Gail Reid on March 15, 1974, in Neosho and she survives.
He is also survived by five children, John Warren Hathaway and wife, LaDawn, Christina Rae Newell and husband, Roger, Jessica Marie Walker and husband, Brett, Courtney and Grace Reid-Hathaway, of the home.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Daniel ‘Danny’ Hathaway; Alexa Lynn “Minnie” Hathaway, John Gage ‘Rowdy’ Hathaway, Hannah Gail Newell, Carson Wyatt Newell, Jacob Alan Walker and Madison Marie “Maddie” Walker; step-father, William D. Campbell; and a sister, Sharon Lee Kropp, Eden, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren D. “Hank” Hathaway; his mother, Gloria Hathaway Campbell; and two brothers, Jerry Wayne Hathaway and Arthur Eugene Hathaway.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Gail Long, John Reid, Brett Walker, Roger Newell, Chad Haddock, Kris Dickens and Johnny Dale Hathaway.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from noon until 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
