Bob Owen “Doc” Leach was born Dec. 24, 1928 in Bartlesville, Okla., to Delbert and Violet (Solomon) Leach, and passed from this life into eternal life with Jesus Christ on Aug. 9, 2008, at The Grace Living Center in Stillwater, Okla.
After graduating from Neosho High School in 1948, Bob attended Oklahoma Baptist University for one year. He then lived in the Rogers, Ark., and then Tulsa and Owasso, Okla. areas for the next 50 years.
Bob was married to Ruth for 18 years until her death in January 1979.
In 2005, Bob moved to Hydro, Okla. to be with family. This summer Bob moved with family to Stillwater. Bob was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso until moving to Hydro, where he was a member of the 1st Baptist Church, Hydro, at the time of his death.
Bob enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and listening to good preaching on TV, especially the Rev. Charles Stanley. He also was an avid reader. One of the many things Bob liked to talk about was his memorable years as the football team manager for the Neosho Wildcats.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother-in-law, Bob Logsdon, and an infant sister, Dorothy.
He is survived by his brother Delbert and his wife, Naomi, Stillwater; sisters, Carolyn Jones, Tulsa, and Marolyn Logsdon, Garland, Texas; nieces and nephews, LaDonna File and her boys, David and Alex, Owasso, Delbo and Tommi Leach and their children, Lynsey, Andra and Jaron, all of Stillwater, Mike and Rhonda Logsdon and their children Chris and Adam, Wylie, Texas, Greg and Robin Lonon and their son, Jasper, Tulsa, Mark Logsdon and his children Ashley and Brandon, Garland, Texas, Joe and Trisha Leach and their children Brittany, Brandon, and Natalie, Piedmont, Okla., Ray Kelly and his daughter, Mia, Tulsa, great- nephews, Aiden Lee, Stillwater, and Michael, Garland.
In addition, Bob is survived by many more relatives and friends.
Bob was cremated and will be laid to rest with his parents in Owasso.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, at the Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Owasso.
