DeWayne A. West, 65, Neosho, died at 6:45 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, following several months of ill health.
Mr. West was born Jan. 21, 1943 in Goodman, and was a lifelong area resident. He was in the real estate investment property business and also owned and operated a used car and salvage business. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Neosho. DeWayne married Patricia (McGehee) on March 1, 1961 at Miami, Okla., and she survives. Additional survivors include a daughter, Teressa Walker, Granby; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Willa Mae Turner, Joplin. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Church, Neosho and graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at the Wyandotte Cemetery, Wyandotte, Okla.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and the family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
