Nicholas F. Favazzo, 69, Seneca, died on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at his home, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Favazzo was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to the area in October 1989 from Mesa, Ariz. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as instructor of transport training at Crowder College, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed bull riding, horses, was a very social person and was very family oriented.
Nick married Sally McDowell on Jan. 31, 1975 at Las Vegas, Nev., and she survives.
Additional survivors include six children, Laurie Drum and husband, James, Mission Viejo, Calif., Sally Guilliams and husband, Steve, Springfield, Stephen Favazzo, Irvine, Calif., David Favazzo and wife, Kathy, Neosho, Kimberly Patrum and husband, Danny, Joplin, and Katie Cox and husband, Brandon, Edmond, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Robert and Jon Trout, Kyle, Kevin and Ryan Drum and Andrew, Amber and Aaron Guilliams; and three brothers, Joseph Favazzo and wife, Chrissy, Chandler, Ariz., Frank Favazzo and wife, Paula, Phoenix, Ariz., and David Favazzo, Joplin.
The body has been taken for cremation and memorial services will be held at 1 p.m.
Wednesday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Danny Mullins will officiate.
