Marvin G. Ferguson, 67, Neosho, died on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Houston, Texas, following an illness since Feb. 2008.
Marvin was born Nov. 28, 1940 in Sulphur Springs, Ark., the son of Orville and Georgia (Wilson) Ferguson. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then served in the Army National Guard. He worked at La-Z-Boy for 35 years in the upholstery department, retiring on Nov. 27, 2005 and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4142.
Marvin married Rose Ross on Oct. 12, 1990 at Miami, Okla., and she survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Paul Ferguson and wife, Katrina, Granby and T.J. Sorden of the home, a step-son, Jeremy Steinbach and wife, Jo, Wheaton; two sisters, Lucille Miller and Nellie Ferguson, Granby and five grandsons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Lee Ferguson and a sister, Linda Ferguson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Keith Brumfield, minister will officiate. Burial will be in the Ragen Cemetery, Neosho, with military honors at the graveside.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday and the family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
