Obituary for Mr. Howard Kimbrough

Howard Kimbrough, 86, Neosho, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at St. John’s Medical Center in Joplin, following a short illness. 

Howard was born May 20, 1922 in Newton County, and was a lifelong area resident.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a dairy farmer and a Baptist. 

Howard married Sylvia (Henry), who preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 2007. 

He is survived by three children, Wayne Kimbrough and wife, June, Diamond; Marcia Kimbrough, Joplin and Patty Palmer and husband, Todd, Diamond; five grandchildren, Cody Palmer, Rachel Palmer, Tina Kimbrough, Cyndy Bailey and Jessica Palmer; two great- grandchildren, Aaron Bailey, Canyon Kimbrough; and two sisters, Lavonna Beaver and husband, Jim, Diamond and Joyce McVay and husband, Wayne, Diamond. 

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Barry Don Bailey; three sisters and one brother. 

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Bob Wilke, minister will officiate. Burial will be in the Granby Memorial Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Bailey, Cody Palmer, Frank Webb, Rick Henry, Mick Henry and Bill Henry. 

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and contributions in memory of Howard may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, 64850.
