Anne S. Dorriety, 60, Neosho, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at her home, following a sudden illness.
Anne was born June 5, 1947 in Pasadena, Calif., and moved to Missouri in 2001. She graduated from California Lutheran University with a master’s degree in business and while living in California, was sales manager for State Compensation Insurance Fund of California. Currently she was a writer for Joplin Business Journal. Anne was a participant in the Leadership Neosho Program; active in the community choir and Silver Follies; organizer of the Thanksgiving dinner for first responders and very active in AA. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, where she was a choir member, children’s church choir director and on the church stewardship committee.
Anne married A.D. Dorriety on July 22, 1989 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2008.
She is survived by a sister, Joanne Martell and niece Mary Martell, both of Granby.
The body has been taken for cremation and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in Neosho. Dr. William Doubek will officiate.
