Mr. Ray Anthony “Tony” Mitchell, 37, Goodman, departed this life suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Tony entered this life on Nov. 13, 1972, in Neosho, son of Vicki Lynn Wasson and the late Claude “Bud” Mitchell. He was raised in the Stella and Goodman, areas and was a 1991 graduate of the Neosho High School. Throughout his life, he worked as an independent tree trimmer. He enjoyed the great outdoors, where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He loved his nieces and nephews and will always be remember for having a big heart.
He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandfather, Victor Wasson; and paternal grandparents, Elmer and Flossie Mitchell.
Tony is survived by his mother, Vicki Fields and husband, Edward, Goodman; his stepmother, Dora Mitchell, Seneca; two brothers, Scott Mitchell and wife, Heather, and Brian Mitchell and companion, Timberly, all of Goodman; a stepbrother, Jason Fields of the state of Kansas; maternal grandmother, Mary Wasson, Stella; and several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Visitation services for Mr. Mitchell will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the Goodman Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with a eulogy service at 7 p.m.
