Reba M. Ferguson

Reba M. Ferguson, 84, Neosho, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at a Galena nursing home, Galena, Kan., following a lengthy illness. 

Reba was born Oct. 30, 1925, in Racine, the daughter of Harold and Zella (Ehrhart) Drake. She was a lifelong area resident and had worked as a cook at Sale Memorial Hospital, now Freeman Neosho Hospital, retiring in the mid 1980s and was a member of Belfast Baptist Church.  Reba married Harold ‘Glen’ Ferguson on Feb. 6, 1941, in Seneca and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2008. 

She is survived by a son, Ronnie Ferguson and wife, Donna, Neosho; a daughter, Rhonda Fitch and husband, Robbie, Joplin; three grandchildren, Merry Ferguson, Susan Ferguson and Robbin O’Neill; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Drake, Kanub, Utah; and three sisters, Delpha Merriman, Seneca, Vivian Camerer, Goldendale, Wash., and Charlotte Philliber, Newtonia. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Ferguson. 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will be in the New Salem Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Mike O’Neill, Robert Ferguson, Rick Lane, Jr., Matthew Yust, Nick Calton and Bill Horton. 

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and the family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. until service time.
