Everal Chesley Lunt, was born to Eldred Chesley Lunt and Iva Louise (Smith) Lunt on Jan. 3, 1967, in Warrensburg, Mo.
From his school year, he preferred to be called by his middle name. After his parents divorced in 1971, our mother moved us to Kansas, to her family’s 160-acre farm. While growing up there, he enjoyed walking the fence line and learning about the plants and animals. He was in the Busy Bees 4-H Club and the Boy Scouts. In high school, he played football and was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He enlisted in the Army in March 1985, graduated from Jayhawk-Linn High School in May of 1985 and started Army basic training June 27, 1985. He ended his service with the Army Reserves on March 22, 1993. He was baptized as a member of the Seventh Day Adventists in 1993.
Chesley was united in marriage to Debra Williams on Sept. 23, 1994, in Kansas City, Mo. He became a step-father to Joy Williams. On Feb. 3, 1996, Chesley became a father to Chesley Everal Lunt.
He worked at Walgreens and Walmart. When he moved to Noel in 1997, he worked for Cobb-Vantress until the time of his death on May 6, 2008. Chesley passed away from complications of CLL.
He is survived by his wife, son and step-daughter. He is also survived by three sisters, Priscilla Folsom, her husband Jim, their sons Andrew and James Folsom and five grandchildren; Juanita Lunt, Mark Wells, her sons Jacque and Keith Kernagahan and Christopher Wells; Virginia Purdy, her husband, Ed, and their sons Alan-Michael and Preston.
Chesley leaves behind many people that will love and miss him.
