Irene L. Branham, 79, Neosho, died at 11:55 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following several months of ill health. 

She was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Alton, Kan., to LeRoy and Helen (Weethee) Brent.

Mrs. Branham lived most of her life in Neosho. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church, where she was the organist for many years. She was also school librarian at OBI for several years, and enjoyed painting with watercolor and working in her garden.

Irene married Rev. D. C. Branham, Dec. 30, 1948, in Alton. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 1987.

She is survived by three children and their spouses, David and Lorraine Branham, Neosho, Debbie Tullos, Mt. Vernon, and Dea Anna and Robert Hargrave, Neosho; two brothers, LaVon Brent and John Brent, Ulysses, Mo.; a sister, Roma Brent, Ark.; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 10, at Bible Holiness Assembly of God, with Rev. Danny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Hazel Green Cemetery, Boulder City.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
