Obituary for Mrs. Velma J. Lindenfelser

Velma J. Lindenfelser, 71, Lanagan, died on Monday, July 21, 2008, at Freeman Neosho Hospital, following a sudden illness. 

Velma was born Feb. 5, 1937 in Crescent, Okla. She moved to the area in 1941 from Oklahoma and lived in California for many years, returning to the area in 1973. She worked as a caregiver in the healthcare business and was a member of the Pleasant View Church in Pineville.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Lindenfelser, in 1989 and two daughters, Renee Howary and Carrie Howard. 

She is survived by four children, Shirley Bennett, Goodman; Charles Howard, Lanagan; Brenda Howard, Modesto, Calif.; and Waylen Howard, Southwest City; one brother, Loyd Kee, Ceres, Calif.; two sisters, Vera Martin, Neosho and Leota Eslick, Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. 

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories.
Rev. Larry Jones, Daniel Jones and Kyle Ferdig will officiate. Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Charles Howard, Waylen Howard, Joe Daugherty, Nathan Daugherty, Vernon Shockley and Kyle Ferdig.

Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
