Betty J. Weber, 79, Neosho, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2010, at her home, following a sudden illness.
 
Mrs. Weber was born April 13, 1931 in Granby, the daughter of Clifford and Ada (Winchester) Lamb. She was a lifelong area resident, graduated from Neosho High School in 1949 and owned and operated Lamb and Weber Antiques for more than 50 years. She was a talented artist and did tole painting and displayed and sold her artwork at area craft shows.

Following the retirement of her husband, Jim, they traveled throughout the area to craft shows roasting peanuts and selling popcorn until Jim’s death in 2006.  

She was a historian of Neosho and presented programs to area civic groups; was a member of the Fortnightly Study Club and an active member of Northside Baptist Church.  

Betty married Jim Weber on May 14, 1949, at Bentonville, Ark., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 2006.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Bell and husband Steve, Joplin; a son-in-law, Gary Hill, Dallas, Texas; and four grandchildren, whom she adored, Adam Hill, Aaron Hill and Drew Hill, all of Dallas, and Megan Bell, Joplin.  

In addition to her husband; and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Hill.  
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Dr. Jerry Seigel and Rev. Terry Swagerty will officiate. Interment will be in the Granby Memorial Cemetery.  
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on from noon until 5 p.m. Thursday; from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
