Jeffery Glen Jennings, 40, Galena, Kan., died 8:31 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at his home, after an illness of several months.

He was born Sept. 1, 1967, in Neosho to Jerry and Katherine (Stockton) Jennings.

Mr. Jennings lived most of his life in Joplin, Neosho, and Galena; he also lived 10 years in Omaha, Neb. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for Jasper Products.

He married Marsha Sloniker, March 1, 1999; in Webb City; she survives.

Additional survivors include his parents, Jerry and Katherine Jennings, Neosho; children, Ashley Griffith, Omaha, Charmae Jennings, Raymond Jennings, Joseph Brown, and Erica Ward all of Galena; three brothers, Michael Jennings, Seneca, Jerry Lee Jennings, Republic, and David Jennings, Pristina, Kosovo; one sister, Carla Chew, Neosho; one granddaughter, Madison Calvert, and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tueseday, at Clark Chapel of Memories, Neosho.  Memorial contributions may be made to Jeffery Jennings Trust Fund for Children’s Education, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, 64850.
