James Arthur “Jim” Wade, III, 54, Neosho, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, from injuries received in an automobile accident. 

He was born Feb. 1, 1955, in Avenal, Calif.

Mr. Wade had served 12 years in the U. S. Army, and had retired as an over-the-road truck driver. He moved to Neosho in 1998 and currently delivered the Neosho Daily News.

He had been active in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

Jim and Debi Melaas were married Dec. 1, 1973, in Anaheim, Calif.; Debi survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, James Owen Wade and B. J. Wade, both of Neosho; a grandson, James Arthur Wade, IV; his mother, Rita (Hopper) Wade, Yorba Linda, Calif.; and a brother, David Wade, Cypress, Calif. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Max Wade.

The body has been taken for cremation and a memorial service will be scheduled the first part of next week.
