Vivian K. Kimbrough, 80, Goodman, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at St. John’s Medical Center in Joplin following a short illness. 

She was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Neosho, to Harry and Mable (Eaton) Carter.

Mrs. Kimbrough was a lifelong area resident and worked as a nurse’s aid at area nursing homes.
She and Emery Wagner were married for 24 years.

She later married James Kimbrough, and they were married for 19 years, prior to his death. 
She was also preceded in death by a son, George Dale; a daughter, Connie Lynn; two sisters, Carol and Betty; and two brothers, Bud and Melvin.

She is survived by her children, Emery Wagner, Jr., Neosho, Jimmie Wagner, Goodman, Lynette England, Joplin, Lanita Nivens, Neosho, Patrick Wagner, Joplin, and Michael Wagner, Joplin; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Donna Lindenfelser, Seneca, Patsy Zumwalt, Seneca, Jimmy Carter, Diana, Texas, Joe Carter, Mosley, Mo., Dennis Carter, Williamsburg, Ky., Donald Carter, Harrison, Ark., and Kenny Acres, Aurora.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Clark Chapel of Memories, with Rev. Ralph Walker officiating. Burial will follow in King Cemetery, north of Neosho. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Herrin, Josh Wagner, Marshall Brown, Emery Wagner, Pat Wagner and Mike Wagner.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday, where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faithful Friends Animal Advocates, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, 64850.

The family will receive friends at the home of Lynette England, 8804 Eloise Ln., Joplin, following services.
