Delphia ‘Rennie’ Lorene Upshaw, 28, Neosho, died Jan. 31, 2010, at St. John’s Medical Center in Joplin, following an illness since the age of 11.
Delphia was born March 6, 1981, in Mansfield, Mo., and moved to the area in 1996 from Ava. She graduated from Neosho High School in 1999 and had worked as an assistance cook and in maintenance for the Neosho Senior Citizens and was a member of the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by her mother, Stella Upshaw, Neosho; one brother, Charles King and wife, Elaine, Granby; six sisters, Betty Elliott and husband, Dwight, Evans, Mo., Shirley Carroll, Evans, Sherry Harper and husband, Jerry, Madisonville, Texas, Pam Green and husband, Jacob, Poplar Bluff, Mo., Jeanetta Yost and husband, Allen Barnmiller, Seymour, Mo., and Terrie King and friend, Terry Welch, Ava; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lyle Upshaw in 1988.
The body has been taken for cremation and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church, Pastor Fred Franks will officiate.
