How are you today? I’m sure glad this weekend’s forecast looks a lot better than last weekend’s. I’m so thankful that we missed most of the ice storm or should I say that the ice storm missed us? The timing of our wintry precipitation was impeccable for what little we received. I suppose that no time is a good time for ice, but I’m glad it came during light traffic times and our Public Works guys were more than ready for it.

The annual period of mourning has begun again for us Kansas City Chiefs fans.  I keep hoping with each new season that they’ll breakthrough to a Super Bowl championship, but just like the last 45 years those hopes have been dashed.  You know what they optimistically say, “there’s always next year”! You never know, I said that for thirty years about the Royals and they finally came through in 2015!
