I have done a great deal of walking along Wildcat Boulevard in the fog and drizzle the last few weeks. Dreary weather is a hallmark of winter here in the Ozarks. Yet, I continue to enjoy my early morning jaunts.

I was thinking about the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus ending its run early this spring. Change is a part of life, and people seem to prefer the electronic form of entertainment today.
The “tree huggers” were given some of the blame for ending the circus, as they had forced the company to give up their elephants and trained wild animals. A circus is not a circus without elephants, tigers, and lions. I cannot imagine anyone being unkind to an elephant that helped provide a way of life. Elephants are so big and ugly, they are cute.
