Neosho, Mo. -

The staff at Freeman Neosho Hospital deserve “kudos” for their recent $11,000-plus donation to the Neosho United Fund.

What’s more impressive is that one department, nutrition services, raised more than $1,000 on its own and 100 percent of the employees in that division donated money to the cause.

That’s deserves big “kudos” from everyone in the community.

The staff of Freeman Neosho made it a point this year to more than triple their previous annual donations to the United Fund, and imagine what could happen if more industries and businesses followed suit.

The United Fund helps the young and the old. It helps the needy, and those with special needs. It offers assistance to civic groups like the Boy Scouts of America, and medical organizations like the Newton County Cancer Fund.

Again, a big “kudos” to the staff at Freeman Neosho Hospital for having the drive to raise $11,000 for a worthwhile cause.

If you would like to make a donation, contact Kathi Stephens at 451-2125.
