Dear Editor,
H.R. 1955 “The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act of 2007,” has been passed by the House and awaits the Senate.
If passed into law, H.R. 1955 will establish a commission and a “center of excellence” to study and defeat so-called “thought criminals.”
H.R. 4955 has been referred to the Senate committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. Congressman Ron Paul (a presidential candidate) describes H.R. 1955 as “one of the most blatant attacks against the Constitution yet and actually defines ‘thought crimes’ as homegrown terrorism.”
Please urge your senator to vote against this dangerous bill when it comes before the Senate for a vote.
Thank you,
John P. Fitts,
Noel
