We urge each citizen with an interest in where the city of Neosho and area schools are going to come out to a comprehensive plan update meeting, set for 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Neosho High School cafeteria.
Representatives from the city of Neosho, Neosho R-5 Schools and Crowder College will be on hand to give updates on their entities’ progress.
But, most importantly, this will be a chance for you to give input as to what direction you want to see the city and schools going, and a chance to bring your thoughts, suggestions and ideas to the table. Taking part in this meeting, and subsequent ones, will give you ownership in the process.
Ray Stipp, head of the Neosho Area Business and Industry Foundation Inc., the group that is hosting the meeting, told the Daily News in a story on page 1A of today’s paper that his group “simply encourage[s] people to come and offer their best suggestions for the city and the district.
The council members, the school board and Crowder appreciate any good ideas.”
So put on your thinking caps, jot down your best ideas, and bring them to Monday’s meeting. As Stipp said “one person’s idea is as good as another person’s.”
