Congratulations to Community Bank & Trust’s current administration and staff, and to all of the past employees who helped shape the organization as it prepares to celebrate its 125th anniversary this week.
The business was founded on June 25, 1884, as the Bank of Neosho by F.J. Corpeny and Hubbard F. Jones, with a capital of $25,000. The Bank of Neosho’s original office was located on the northwest corner of the historic Neosho downtown Square — the same corner where Community Bank & Trust’s headquarters is located today. On Dec. 29, 1992, the Missouri Division of Finance approved the merger of the Bank of Neosho, Anderson State Bank and Citizens State Bank of
Granby and the bank’s name changed to Community Bank & Trust.
We urge the community to attend the bank’s public celebration, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Neosho Southtown location, and honor one of Neosho’s oldest operating businesses and a true pillar of the Neosho business community.
