- Newton County Fair Princess Contest

The candidates for Newton County Fair Princess were each asked a different question by emcee Charlie Barnes at the crowning Monday evening, held at the Elsie Plaster Community Center. Contestant number one, Madelaine Giebler was named princess, while contestant number two, Myla Hembree, was named runner up.
