Flying in a powered parachute
Posted Sept. 13, 2013
Ernie and Alice Baugh, owners of the Baugh Flight Park, are hosting the annual Sho-Me Chutes Fly In at their airfield on Incline Road about five miles east of Carthage. Dozens of powered parachutes and other flying machines are on display at the event, which hits its peak on Saturday night. People can go out any time, but to see powered parachutes in the air, they need to be there around sunrise or around sunset. Several events are planned around sunset Saturday, so head out there about 5 p.m. to see all the fun.
