The Arkansas Little Rock Trojans have named former Crowder assistant coach Noah Sanders their new assistant coach.
Sanders left in-state rival Arkansas State — a school with former Crowder players Casey Vaughan, Kyle MacDonald, and Nate Alberius now on its roster.
“We’re fortunate to have Noah Sanders join our staff,” Little Rock head coach Chris Curry said in a media release Friday. “He’s a veteran Sun Belt coach that has been in the league for five years, and he very much understands the lay of the land as far as recruiting goes in the Southeast.
“What I like the best among many things about Noah is how he’s pulled himself up by his own bootstraps and worked his way up through the ranks to be where he is now. I’ve always respected Noah across the field with how he signs good players and how he handles himself with class. I think he’s going to have an immediate, seamless impact for our staff.”
Sanders coached for Crowder during the 2012 season as the Roughriders’ hitting coach and he also worked with the team’s catchers and recruiting.
