SPRINGFIELD — The Neosho Lady Wildcats' season officially came to an end Thursday in the Class 2, District 11 individual district tournament at Kickapoo.

Neosho senior Baylee Scribner wrapped up her career in style, going out with at least one more victory, defeating her opponent from Parkview by a 8-2 score. Scribner lost her quarterfinal match 6-2, 6-0.

Neosho freshman Emily Mitchell ended her promising first season with a 8-0 loss to Republic's Heather Georges.

Neosho's doubles Sarah Werner-Mariah Pina and Kennedy Watts-Morgan Brattin each lost their only matches.

Head coach Nick Hays left the following message for his team, "Good work this season ladies! Play lots of tennis in the offseason and come back AWESOME!"
