MARSHALL — Neosho Youth Wrestling’s Melanie Butler, 8U 83-88 pounds, won a title at the MO/USA Women’s Folkstyle State tournament Sunday at the Burns Athletic Center on the campus of Missouri Valley College.

Butler pinned Lexington’s America Mace in 39 seconds and won a 13-0 major decision against Sullivan’s Jazelle Bahena May in her two matches.

McDonald County’s Skylur Lewis (12U 95-104) finished second with a 4-1 mark — a 2-0 decision against Sullivan’s Saasha Weaver, a 3-minute, 35-second pin of Rare Breed’s Zaina Borge, a 2:30 pin of Camdenton’s Amythist Spangler, and a 43-second pin of Excelsior Springs’ Josie Briant.

Diamond’s Dymond King (8U 57-62) placed fourth with a pair of wins in the tournament, as she pinned Excelsior Springs’ Lillian Goetz in 2:26 and Columbia’s Kaylee Holt in 1:21.
