ST. LOUIS — Nearly 140 teams descended upon Chaifetz Arena, a 10,600-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Saint Louis University, this weekend for the Missouri USA State Championships featuring 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U wrestlers.

Neosho’s Everson Tomlinson (10U 170 pounds) finished third and pinned Eldon’s Trevor Hargis in 2 minutes, 46 seconds and Adrian’s Wyatt Jordan in 2:10, rebounding from a semifinal loss with consecutive wins by pin.

Tucker Feagans (8U 55) placed fourth and won a 7-4 decision against Greater Heights’ Phoenix Shelton and pinned Jr. Knights Wrestling’s Noah Brown in 43 seconds and Marceline’s Roper Neimeier in 2:53.

Lincoln Howard (8U 70) placed fourth and won a 8-1 decision against Fox Wrestling’s Hunter Hylton, a 7-1 decision against Team Vipers’ Ross Davis, and a 9-0 major against Hylton.

Collyn Kivett (12U 105) placed fourth and pinned Columbia’s Frank Hazelrigg in 3:54 and Richmond’s Joe Burch in 2:14, won by forfeit against Rare Breed’s Brady Griffin, and won a 7-1 decision against Victory Wrestling’s Matthew Bindel.

Nicolas Olivares (12U 235) placed fourth and pinned Harrisonville’s Garrett Propes in 1:21.

Jaxon Ertel (8U 90) finished sixth and won a 8-4 decision against Warsaw’s Bostyn Wilson and a 3-2 against Fox Wrestling’s Cy Brouillard.

— Seneca’s Jacob Gravener (12U 235) finished second and won 2-0 decisions against both Harrisonville’s Garrett Propes and Marshfield’s Shawn Bearden en route to the finals against Kobra Kai’s Richard Wilson III. Gravener took a 3-2 loss in the finals.

Brady Roark (14U 80) finished second and pinned Eierman Elite’s Carter Preener in 1:12 and won a 5-0 decision against Lexington’s Joshua Payne.

Kenton Pollard (14U 110) placed fourth and won a 4-0 decision against Tri-Cap’s Carson Hayes, a 9-7 against Pleasant Hill’s Zach Redwine, and a 15-3 major against Odessa’s Shon Badder.

Jace Renfro (10U 130) placed fifth and won a 8-6 decision against Team Owls’ Kenny Bellamy, pinned Wildcat Wrestling’s Teagan Heiter in 2:09, and pinned Xtreme Training’s Landon Brown in 1:25.

Gabriel Commons (14U 140) placed fifth and pinned Moberly’s Dakotah Courtney in 3:41, won a 7-6 decision against Rockwood Lindbergh’s Caelin Stegmann and a 4-1 against Terminator Wrestling’s John Jenkins, and finally a 4-2 against Blue Pride’s Trent Polley for fifth.

Andrew Manley (12U 95) finished sixth and won a 16-0 tech fall against Oak Grove’s Jordan Hall, a 6-0 against Blair Oaks’ Brady Kerperin, and a 4-3 against Hillsboro’s Evan Morris.

— McDonald County’s Stevan Benhumea (8U 70) won first and pinned Ryder Herzing in 32 seconds, won a 10-0 major against Mat Rat’s Skyler Jones, won a 3-0 against Major Decision’s Colin Rutlin, and won a 4-2 sudden victory against Jackson County’s Lake Waters.

Samuel Murphy (12U 175) finished third and pinned Hamilton Hornet’s Dawson Miller in 25 seconds, won a 2-0 sudden victory against Callen Smithpeter, won by injury default against Adrian’s William Brown, and pinned Richmond’s Hayden Happy in 40 seconds.

Ryder Martin (10U 75) finished sixth and won a 13-2 major against Centralia’s Rex Bryson and pinned Greater Heights’ Cameron Graham in 1:14.

Colter Vick (12U 120) finished sixth and won a 15-1 major against Jackson County’s Coner Tindle, pinned Eierman Elite’s Austen Wentzel in 51 seconds, and won a 12-7 decision against Oak Grove’s Holland Graves.

— Diamond’s Landon Clement (14U 155) finished third and pinned Southern Boone’s Dane Donigian in 2:54, won a 2-1 decision against Pleasant Hill’s Lane Brattin, won a 3-0 against Platte County’s Ben McDaniel, and won a 5-4 ultimate tiebreaker against Eierman Elite’s Tyler Siemer for third.
