OZARK — The Neosho Lady Wildcats earned a pair of wins Saturday in the Ozark Shootout, defeating North County 3-1 and Osage 2-0.
Neosho rebounded after Friday's 6-0 loss to Cedar Hill Northwest.

In the North County win, Neosho took eight shots overall, seven on goal, and four corner kicks, while North County managed three shots overall and on goal and one corner.

Neosho senior Laken Schnackenberg scored a pair of goals — shooting 100 percent in the match since she only shot twice on goal — with a pair of assists from fellow senior Ashley Talley.

Talley scored the other Neosho goal.

Abby Gilliam made two saves in net for the Lady 'Cats.

Schnackenberg netted both her goals in the first half, while Talley tacked on an insurance goal after North County made it a 2-1 match.

In the Osage win, Neosho controlled time of possession and shots — taking 22 shots overall and 18 on goal compared to five overall and on goal for Osage.

Coffeyville Community College commit Talley scored both goals for the Lady 'Cats and she split her goals between halves.

Shelby Roberts came through with five saves in net.

Neosho returns to action Tuesday at home against Republic.
