Former Neosho High stalwart and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M freshman Colton Marion definitely has made an impact during his freshman season.
On Wednesday, Marion found out that he was named All-Region 2 honorable mention in the outfield and was one of five Golden Norsemen players who received honorable mention honors.
Entering the start of the region playoffs Thursday, Marion had a .295 batting average with 41 runs scored, 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs, and 27 RBI.
Marion enjoyed an outstanding prep career at Neosho, proving himself to be a force out in the field, on the bases, on the mound, and at the plate.
NEO entered the playoffs with a 25-25 overall record and the Golden Norse have been very inconsistent all season, both equally capable of a win over nationally-ranked Crowder or not winning against anybody.
