Three former Crowder College players have been named to the Natural State Baseball All-Arkansas Team.

Designated hitter Kyle MacDonald (Arkansas State) and pitcher Ben Madison (Central Baptist) earned first team and pitcher Bryant Haralson (Henderson State) earned honorable mention.

MacDonald definitely made a sudden impact on Arkansas State after transferring from Crowder. He finished his first season in Jonesboro with a .346 batting average, a .464 on-base percentage, a .665 slugging percentage, 66 hits, 50 runs scored, 12 doubles, two triples, 15 home runs, 50 RBI, 39 walks, and 127 total bases. MacDonald's 15 home runs ranked second and his slugging percentage seventh in school history, and he earned top newcomer honors in the Sun Belt Conference.

Madison finished 6-6 overall with a 2.70 ERA, but his most impressive feat was that he led the NAIA with 172 strikeouts over 96 2/3 innings. Opponents hit .176 against Madison. (Aaron Ashby led NJCAA Division I in strikeouts, so two pitchers with Crowder ties led their respective collegiate divisions / leagues in Ks.)

The San Francisco Giants picked Madison in the ninth round of the MLB Draft in June and Madison joins fellow pitchers Mike Kickham and Mark Reyes as former Crowder players selected by the Giants in the draft.

Madison became the first player ever drafted from Central Baptist.

During his senior campaign, Haralson pieced together a 9-3 record with a 3.84 ERA and 100 strikeouts and 18 walks over 105 1/3 innings. Haralson came off a 2017 season in which he won conference pitcher of the year honors.

Arkansas pitcher Blaine Knight, who at one point was listed in a Crowder recruiting class that also included Joey Cooner, Jacob Adams, and Drew Reilly, won top pitcher honors for a 14-0 season with a 2.80 ERA and 102 strikeouts over 112 1/3 innings. Knight also won "The Natural" for the best player originally from the state of Arkansas.

The All-Arkansas Team selected players from every college and university in the state, from Arkansas to Ecclesia to Southern Arkansas.
